Create and place enchantment table in Minecraft
In order to be able to enchant your weapons, armor and tools, you first need one Magic table. For this you need the following materials:
materials | input |
|
You can sometimes find diamonds and obsidian in chests. You can also get obsidian at lava lakes, for example at the blacksmith’s house. You can get books by dismantling bookshelves. You can find the latter in libraries or fortresses, for example.
When you have placed the enchantment table, you can also set up additional bookshelves around it. This allows you to create stronger enchantments at the magic table. But this also costs you more experience levels. More on this in the next section.
This is how the magic table works
To start the enchantment process, right click on the magic table. Then proceed as follows:
- Put the item to be enchanted in the slot. Enchantable items include swords, picks, axes, shovels, hoes, books, fishing rods, bows, tridents, helmets, breastplates, leg guards, and boots.
- Now the magic book opens. To start the enchantment, you need a sufficiently high level of experience and lapis lazuli. The more bookshelves are placed around the magic table, the more experience levels you need. The maximum is reached with 15 bookshelves and experience level 30.
- With the enchantment you have the choice between three different spells. The more skill levels and lapis lazuli they cost, the more powerful they are. Do not be unsettled by the characters. These are given out randomly and are unrelated to the enchantment you ultimately receive.
- After choosing the spell, the book closes again and you receive your enchanted item.
You can always recognize an enchanted object by its shimmering texture. In addition, the corresponding enchantment is now also displayed in the object description.
enchantment remove: If you don’t like the enchantment you received, you may want to enchant your item again. Before this can work, you must first remove the old enchantment. Here he will help you Grindstonewhere you can do this quickly and easily.
Transferring enchantment to a book
The magic table isn’t the only way to enchant your equipment, you can also use enchanted books. You can combine magic books with the appropriate item on the anvil to enchant it.
The advantage of the magic books is that you can already see the corresponding enchantment in the object description of the book. So you can plan exactly which enchantment you want to give which item. With the magic table, it is up to chance which enchantment you get.
To get magic books, bewitch a book at the magic table. However, you can also find them in the game world, for example as rare loot when fishing, as an exchange item when trading with villagers or from chests in dungeons, mines, desert temples, fortresses and bastion ruins.
The enchantments of books can also be removed from the grindstone.
