New Xbox update makes Twitch streaming easier
Streaming from your Xbox One or Xbox Series console just got a little easier since the last update. As Microsoft explains in an official blog post, they decided to listen to the feedback from many Xbox players and revive an old feature that suddenly disappeared from the console a few years ago: Starting a Twitch stream directly from the Xbox Guide (Source: Xbox Wire).
To use the new “old” feature, proceed as follows:
- Opens the Xbox Guide.
- Go to the “Record and Share” tab.
- Select the “Live Streaming” item.
- Now log in with your Twitch account – either via the displayed QR code or directly via the URL.
As soon as your account is linked to your Xbox, you can simply click on the “Go live now” button in the Xbox Guide in the corresponding tab and your stream will start.
