MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset announced: the details

MediaTek has been a serious player in the range of chipsets for years. Now the Taiwanese company has announced the new Dimensity 1300 processor, which we will soon see in the first devices.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor has been officially announced by the Taiwanese chip manufacturer. This means there is a successor to the 1200, which we saw in various mid-end devices. The Dimensity 1300 chipset is expected to make its debut in a OnePlus device; presumably the OnePlus Nord 2T, which we have already written about before.

The Dimensity 1300 chipset can handle a 168Hz display with a resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels. It can handle a maximum of 16GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage type. The camera has a maximum of 200 megapixels and there is also support for multi-person portrait video and 4K HDR video. Performance will likely be similar to the Snapdragon 778G, which is approaching the same segment.

Then the technical properties of the MediaTek Dimensity 1300. The processor naturally offers support for the 5G network. In addition, the module offers four Cortex-A78 cores, one of which is Ultra and three times a Super-core. These offer a maximum computing power of 3.0 GHz and 2.6 GHz respectively. There are also four Cortex-A55 cores with a maximum computing power of 2.0 GHz.
