Marvel fans cheer: They’ve been waiting for this superhero crossover for a long time

While pretty much anything is possible in the world of Marvel, there are always clashes that create a lot of buzz among comic book fans. This definitely includes the newly announced crossover saga that sees Wolverine fighting the Predator.

The Battle of the Century: Wolverine vs. Predator

Wolverine really needs no introduction, does it? At least since actor Hugh Jackman mimes the character, non-comic fans have also known the nearly indestructible beast with the adamantium claws. And throughout his career, Wolverine, also known as Logan, has fought various well-known opponents. Including Hulk, Thor or the Punisher.

But now Logan has to deal with a very special creature, namely the Predator. The legendary movie monster will be released on September 20, 2023 in a four part comic series make hunts for Wolverine. Then it will be seen which claws are really sharper:

The unusual crossover is also possible because because both characters are owned by 20th Century Studios. So is it possible to make it into a film? That is currently rather unlikely. Hugh Jackman is already training with Ryan Reynolds for his role in the upcoming Deadpool movie and may well be too old for the role afterward.

The Predator and its many crossovers

And Disney, which in turn owns 20th Century Studios, is currently at a loss as to what to do with the Predator brand. Especially related to the crossover issue. It was only recently announced that that the company is sitting on a new Alien vs. Predator seriesbut does not want to publish them (source: IGN).

By the way, it’s not unusual for the Predator to be used for a crossover. In the past, the popular space monster has already fought against the Terminator, Judge Dredd or Archie. Now you might be wondering who is Archie?

This is the red-haired teenager you may know from the Netflix series Riverdale. And yes, the comics really exist:
