Exempt from broadcasting fees? Amazon Prime 50% cheaper

An “Amazon Prime” subscription offers many advantages, such as fast premium shipping for purchases from the online retail giant and access to the Prime Video media library. If you are exempt from radio license fees or have a social pass, access to Amazon Prime is available at half price.

Usually, the cost of Amazon Prime is 69 euros per year. Anyone who opts for the monthly cancelable option pays 7.99 euros per month. Exempt from broadcasting fees or with a social pass: Amazon Prime is cheaper

In order to get cheap access to the Prime benefit, you have to upload a proof on the corresponding page. This is how you save when you are exempt from the fee formerly known as the “GEZ” fee:

  2. Enter the contribution number that was assigned to you by the broadcast contribution service.
  3. You have to be on the side Upload the scanned proof of the exemption from broadcasting fees. To do this, however, the document must first be prepared. It must be clear that you are exempt from paying the license fee, but you must the reasons are obscured. You can either cover the relevant information when scanning or redact the areas in the PDF document afterwards. A photo can also be uploaded, on which you cover the corresponding areas.
  4. The name on which the exemption is issued must be the same as the name to which the Amazon account is logged in.
  5. Your authorization will be checked after the upload. Subsequently you get the Amazon Prime access for half the price.

Alternatively, if you have one, you are also eligible for the discounted Prime subscription Social or family pass have. Amazon Prime cheaper: is there a catch?

The special conditions only apply to users residing in Germany. If the evidence is accepted, you get “Amazon Prime” without compromising at half the price. So you don’t have to forego any of the many advantages. You can see the best features in the video:

Note, however, that the discounted access can only be taken into account for the monthly subscription with Prime. A termination is possible at any time at the end of the month. However, Amazon can also terminate the subscription from its side with a period of 14 days. The discount applies for 12 months. After the period has expired, you will need cheap access to Prime membership apply again and upload the relevant documents again.

It is unclear whether the proof of the broadcasting exemption or the Amazon social passport will be considered otherwise and, for example, used when different payment methods are available.

Exempt from broadcasting fees? So there is Amazon Prime cheaper

Some users wonderwhether they can be exempted from broadcasting fees if they already pay for the Amazon Prime subscription, after all, the live streams of the public broadcasters are included in the Prime program. But that is not possible. A Prime subscription is no reason for an exemption from broadcasting fees. In Germany, the contribution has to be paid for every household, regardless of how many TV and other receivers you have at home and whether you watch the content or not.
