macOS 12.5 beta 4 is available
Apple is releasing Beta 4 (build 21G5056b) of macOS 12.5 on Mac today. It comes a little over a week after the previous one and is for the moment only offered to developers. Public testers will have it soon.
Beta 4 of macOS 12.5 is alone tonight. Indeed, we remain at beta 3 for iOS 15.6, watchOS 8.7 and tvOS 15.6. Apple does not say why a new version was released for the Mac operating system but not for others. Might be an annoying issue that required a dedicated update.
Today’s beta build number is 21G5056b. By comparison, it was 21G5046c for last week’s beta.
If your Mac is set up to receive developer betas, go to System Preferences > Software Update. Beta 4 of macOS 12.5 will appear and you can initiate the download and then proceed with the installation.
Apple does not yet say when the final version of macOS 12.5 will be available for download. It shouldn’t take long anyway since it’s a minor version that mainly fixes bugs and improves general performance. Apple is now focusing on macOS Ventura, which is also in developer beta.
