MacBook Air 2022 gets traditional colors
After the appearance of the colorful 24-inch iMac, there were soon rumors about the MacBook Air 2022: it would also come on the market in several trendy colors. The highly trusted Apple journalist Mark Gurman doesn’t think it will go that fast. According to him, the laptop will soon be available in the traditional variants of Space Gray, Silver and Gold. There would be only one new model with a blue housing. In addition, according to Gurman, the gold looks more like champagne this time.
Whether you like or regret that is of course very personal. We do not yet see ourselves sitting in the cafe with a bright yellow MacBook. We are therefore pleased that Apple continues to offer at least some more neutral colors.
Gurman doesn’t say a word about the color of the bezels. The iMac’s screen edges are white, and the same is generally believed to be true for the new MacBook. However, if Apple does release a Space Gray model, we wouldn’t be surprised if the bezels just stay black.
This is what you can expect from the new MacBook Air
Apple may already present the new laptop next Monday during the developer conference WWDC 2022. Fresh colors or not, the design of the MacBook Air 2022 is going to be overhauled. That would resemble that of the MacBook Pro 2021. You can expect thinner screen edges and a flatter design. However, the Air remains a lot lighter and thinner than the more expensive models.
In addition, we expect a faster M2 chip and a better webcam with 1080p resolution. That camera may be in a notch, just like on the MacBook Pro.
