Looking Glass + ChatGPT: the future of home AI?
The holographic displays of the American company Looking Glass are marvels of technology, but horribly expensive marvels, apart from the small desktop model which is already more than enough to impress the gallery. Never short of a bright idea, Shawn Frayne, CEO of Looking Glass, designed Liteforms, holographic avatars that express themselves to users through ChatGPT: “Over the past few years, we’ve prototyped new ways to not only create and view holograms, but also communicate with them.” says Frayne, “With all the major advances made by major language models like ChatGPT, it is now possible! We couldn’t be more excited to see how brands around the world are using Liteforms to connect their fans to the magic of “living” talking holograms.

In detail, the user interacts with a holographic avatar displayed on a Looking Glass screen. A software makes the connection between the voice request of the user and ChatGPT, and then allows to transcribe the answer of ChatGPT there still in a voice way. Looking Glass should say more about this technological hybridization during its AWE event scheduled for the beginning of June.
