Motorola has revealed some key features of its upcoming Razr 2022. It works with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and has a 3,500 mAh battery. Furthermore, the second screen will also take over more tasks from the main screen.

It took a few years, but this year there will be a successor for the foldable Razr 5G. Motorola already announced that news at the end of last year, but now we also get details about the specifications via a message from the brand on Chinese social media. Contrary to what was previously leaked, the phone will not get Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but will get the newer Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
We can also expect a larger battery for the phone. The Razr 2022 will have a 3,500 mAh battery, compared to the 3,300 mAh of the Razr 5G. We will of course only be able to discover whether the battery has really improved with a review of the phone.
Second screen
The Razr 2022 will also have a second screen again and that will also play a role in consumption. Earlier it was leaked that the phone will have a larger 3.0-inch screen, compared to the 2.7-inch screen of its predecessor. Motorola has now shared that the second screen is “on the same level as the internal panel”. With the Razr 5G, you could already open certain apps on that second screen, so more apps may be supported with the new phone.
Another important question is how the Razr 2022 will compete with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. Samsung will announce the phone on August 10 and it folds in a similar way to the Razr 2022. The Razr 2022 will get a bigger battery, though. better performance and a larger screen compared to its predecessor, but it remains to be seen whether the phone will also take the upper hand compared to the Z Flip 4.
