The days are warm and the summer will last a while if all goes well. Good protection is then important, because long exposure to sunlight is harmful to your health. The use of sunscreen is therefore highly recommended. An application that can help you give an indication of the sun’s strength is UV index. The app first asks you what skin type you have and then lets you determine your location. You can use the automatic location, or manually enter a location.

On the home screen in the app you can immediately see the figure of the current UV index and the screen shows the maximum time in which you can be exposed to the sun. Although the Dutch language is very poorly implemented in the app, it is clear what is meant. You can refresh the overview with the push of a button and get a forecast of the sun power for the coming hours and days.

UV Index is free to download from the Google Play Store and we did not encounter any ads. Curious about which weather app is the most correct, consult our interesting weather app test.
