Ken Block’s ‘Halo’ Warthog Vehicle Is More Brutal Than Brutal

This bucket is serious business. Check out Ken Block’s new ‘Halo’ vehicle here.

We mainly know Ken Block from his extreme drift movies with cars. The man has built an empire around it, very handsome. Block’s Hoonigan Industries has now built a fully functional Warthog vehicle. The team has created a series about this and is posting it on YouTube.

Ken Block’s ‘Halo’ Warthog Vehicle

That’s cool. While it’s far from the first life-size version ever made of Halo’s famous armored vehicle, it really works. The colossus even debuted at the world premiere of the movie Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds. He plays a bank teller who discovers that he is just a character in an open world game.

The members of Block’s team created the real Warthog using a custom rockcrawler chassis. It doesn’t have a mounted gun, but it unmistakably resembles the Warthog with its sturdy body, futuristic shape, curved windshield and huge tires. They really thought about everything: the interior is a replica of its virtual counterpart, and the team also provided four-wheel steering. Of course it also needs a big engine. They chose a Ford V8 engine and added two turbos, giving it 1,060 horsepower. You’ll get ahead with that.

Halo

We know the machine from the various games in the Halo franchise. The Hoonigan team built a replica of it to promote the upcoming Halo Infinite game that launches in December. That will work I think. You can see the images below.
