Jumbo jet planes full of PlayStation 5 consoles are coming
As we speak, jumbo jet planes are landing full of PlayStation 5 consoles. Where and why? Read it quickly here.
Little by little, more and more PlayStations are becoming available. But still not everyone can buy one, there are still large shortages. This is partly due to persistent chip shortages, which Sony also suffers from when making the consoles. However, the company is doing everything it can to replenish stocks before Christmas.
Jumbo jet planes full of PlayStation 5 consoles
Christmas is of course the time to buy a new game console. Sony knows this and is taking measures. The company has sent a number of jumbo jets to England. Full of consoles. Sony has struggled with production since launch and there is still a shortage of consoles. There is more demand than supply and that is why many people cannot buy a PlayStation 5. So far, 10 million have been purchased. Seems like a lot, is a lot. But the previous version sold a total of 104 million. This just goes to show that there is a lot of demand.
England
According to the English newspaper The Sun, three jumbo jets have landed. Two more should come in mid-November. This is quite remarkable, because usually for these long distances goods are never transported by air. This is simply too expensive, that’s why they go with container boats. But apparently this is high at Sony and they are doing everything they can to get the consoles to Europe.
The big question is whether these consoles are also intended for the Netherlands. Unfortunately we don’t think so. This operation is really aimed at England. It is unclear when the stocks on the European mainland will be replenished.
