“Joint new skin from OnePlus and Oppo will only come later this year”

It seems that OnePlus and Oppo are not quite ready with the joint skin that will be placed over Android. ColorOS from Oppo and OxygenOS from OnePlus would be merged into one, but this is taking longer than expected.

OxygenOS and ColorOS go together

It has been known for a while that OnePlus and Oppo will merge its own skin into one joint skin. The useful functions of ColorOS should combine with the clarity of OxygenOS. However, new rumors report that the merging of the skins is delayed. It could even be that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be released in Europe with OxygenOS 12 and not with the merged OS that was originally planned. According to a tipster, the new layer has been postponed until the second half of 2022. There is a chance that a new OnePlus product will come with this new skin.

Reportedly, the new skin, which officially still does not have its own name, would be based on Android 13. So it is certainly not expected before the summer. Last week, the first preview of Android 13 was shared quite unexpectedly. The merger of OxygenOS with ColorOS does not evoke happy reactions from everyone. For many, OxygenOS is the reason for choosing a OnePlus smartphone. It is hoped that that feeling will be retained with the merger with Oppo’s ColorOS.
