Switch Pro: Nintendo is apparently cooperating with Samsung
It’s hard to believe, but: The Nintendo Switch is now four years old. Time for a little update, Nintendo?
Rumors about a Switch Pro have been around for a few years, but now they seem to be growing.
As Bloomberg reports, Nintendo is to work with Samsung to give the new Switch model a larger display – and that with OLED technology.
That means: crisper contrasts and a longer battery life. Only with the resolution will probably not change for the time being.
Bloomberg’s sources also claim that the new version of the switch, connected to a television, will have 4K support and could be in stores by the 2021 holiday season.
iMac with M1 chip: YouTuber is making one
Tech YouTuber Luke Miani couldn’t wait for the iMacs to come out with Apple’s M1 chip. So he just built one himself.
With the case of an old iMac, as well as the hardware from the new Mac mini, his Frankenstein iMac was created.
Biggest disadvantage: If he wants to turn on the iMac, he can first remove the display to press the power button on the Mac mini. Also: no ports at all.
Windows: Next generation is just around the corner
At Microsoft’s Ignite conference, Chief Product Officer Panos Panay made it clear that something big is coming up for Windows users. The “next generation of Windows” is just around the corner and could even be released this year.
However, he has not yet revealed exactly what that looks like.
So it is quite possible that he is referring to the official launch of Windows 10X instead of a successor to the almost six-year-old Windows 10. Windows 10X, which has been in a public test phase for some time, should be designed primarily for low-performance devices. A possible attack on Google’s “Chrome OS”.
We are still a bit away from a real successor to Windows 10.
