IREX 2022 (part 2): amazing Japanese robots (Sony, Panasonic, Kawasaki, Epson, etc.)
IREX 2022 closed its doors a few days ago, but the Japanese robotics show is definitely worth a second look after our first article on robots from Honda and Kawasaki. Sony Interactive Entertainment treats us with a new robot prototype Asimo able to reproduce to perfection and with great speed the gestures made by an individual placed in front of him!
And what about theUMOZ, a pot-robot that knows how to move around to find the most favorable corner for the growth of the plant it is carrying. Too much humidity? The UMOZ will move towards a warm and sunny spot. Too much sun? He will look for a shady corner, again thanks to his sensors and his little robotic legs. Lovely!
On the side of THKwe play the humor card with a rather crazy but ultimately rather convincing robot band.
In contrast, Kawasaki don’t laugh at all with her medicaroid (medical care robot) dubbed Hinotori. The latter is capable of performing surgery with great precision (of course remotely controlled by a real surgeon.
