iPhone users report problems with Snapchat after latest update
A large group of Snapchat users are having problems with the app after installing the latest version from the App Store. The company acknowledged the issue with a post on Twitter, promising a fix is on the way.

App crashes immediately after opening
The latest version of the popular photo app Snapchat has problems. The app crashes for many users right after opening. There is currently no solution available. That is annoying, as the app is currently one of the three most popular social media platforms in the Netherlands.
Snapchat acknowledged the problem on Twitter today and promises a fix will be soon. “We are aware of an issue with the latest version of Snapchat available in the App Store. Hold on tight, we’re investigating and working on a solution!”
It concerns version 11.34.0.35. Previous versions of the app do not seem to cause major problems as far as we know. Also on the editorial board of iPhoned the latest version of the app crashes right after opening.
How can this happen?
Snapchat generally releases new updates to the App Store on a weekly basis, many of which simply focus on bug fixes and performance improvements. However, we expect an update sooner this time, as many users are now unable to use the app.
Similar problems happen to even the best iPhone apps, but it’s always a wonder how that can happen. After all, the updates are tested before they are rolled out. Fortunately, big companies like Snapchat have a lot of smart minds on board, who can generally solve such problems quickly.
