iPhone SE 2022 and new iPads pop up in India, release seems close

Apple has imported a new iPhone and two iPads to India for testing purposes. The release of the iPhone SE 2022 and in any case the new iPad Air seems closer than ever. But what about that mysterious other iPad?

Read on after the ad.

Release iPhone SE 2022 and new iPads imminent

It seems certain that the iPhone SE 2022 will see the light of day this spring. Last month, model numbers already surfaced at the Eurasian Economic Commission of the cheap slip-on. Apple is required to register new devices before launch, so their announcement never comes as a total surprise.

91mobiles now reports that Apple has brought three different devices to India to conduct its final tests. In any case, this concerns the new iPhone SE and two different iPads. The latter is a small surprise, because we only expect the iPad Air 2022 this spring.

That seems indeed to come, because one of the two tablets will be priced between 500 and 700 dollars. The previous iPad Air cost $599 at the time of its release in the United States. According to rumors, its successor will receive a faster A15 chip and Center Stage. That’s a wide-angle camera that follows you as you walk back and forth. This makes the new Air a larger variant of the current iPad mini.

Which iPad will we see next?

The release of the iPhone SE 2022 and iPad Air 2022 during an event in March or April is therefore almost certain. The other new iPad is a mystery. According to 91mobiles, it would be a tablet with a price of around 300 dollars. This excludes a new iPad Pro. After all, it is much more expensive.

The low price seems to indicate a new entry-level model, but that would come as a big surprise. Apple released a ‘normal’ iPad last fall. Perhaps the company has a good reason to refresh the tablet now, but it could also be a modified version of the current model. For example, one with more storage capacity.
