‘iPhone 16 Pro gets bigger screen with new periscope camera’
The iPhone 15 isn’t out yet, but there’s already speculation about the next generation of iPhones. Once again we hear rumors that the iPhone 16 Pro will have a larger screen and a periscope camera.

iPhone 16 gets an even bigger screen
Apple will only present the iPhone 15 series in September of this year, but there is already a lot of speculation about the new iPhone 16. Recent rumors predict that the iPhone 16 will have the largest iPhone screen ever. The iPhone 16 Pro will then have a 6.3-inch screen. The iPhone 16 Pro Max takes it a step further and goes to a 6.9-inch screen.

Now the iPhone 14 Pro Max has another 6.7-inch display. The iPhone 14 Pro has a slightly smaller 6.1-inch screen. It is expected that the upcoming iPhone 15 series will also maintain these screen sizes, despite the smaller housing of the phones. It was still unclear why Apple chooses to give the iPhone 16 Pro a larger screen, but this seems to be related to another feature.
Periscope camera is also coming to the Pro
The iPhone 15 Pro Max will probably be equipped with a new periscope camera this year. With that camera you can zoom in much further than was possible with the iPhone until now. If we are to believe the rumors, you will soon be able to zoom in more than twice as far with the iPhone 15 Pro Max as you can now with the iPhone 14 Pro.
With a periscope lens, the size of the iPhone is very important, because with this technique the camera lenses are placed in width (and not, as is currently the case, in depth) in an iPhone. This allows larger lenses to be built in, but they do require more space than a ‘normal’ lens. The size of the device is also one of the reasons that the periscope will soon only come to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
By making the iPhone 16 Pro a bit bigger, it goes without saying that there will also be more space in the housing of the phone. This creates space for the new periscope camera. It is therefore expected that both the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will get the new periscope lens.
iPhone 16 will not appear until 2024
Unfortunately, it will be a while before we can expect the iPhone 16 Pro (Max), the phone will not appear until 2024. A lot can of course change by then, which means that the periscope lens of the iPhone 16 will soon be able to zoom in even further that of the iPhone 15 Pro Max. That remains to be seen, of course, but it is certain that zooming in with the iPhone will greatly improve.
