‘iPhone 15 Pro will be the most expensive iPhone ever’

We are already looking forward to the iPhone 15 Pro (Max), which is said to have a fantastic zoom lens. There are also less pleasant rumors, because Apple would increase the price again. This makes the iPhone 15 Pro models the most expensive iPhones ever.

Read on after the ad.

iPhone 15 Pro more expensive than iPhone 14 Pro

This year there was already a price increase for the iPhone 14 Pro models. At least: in most countries. Partly due to the unfavorable dollar exchange rate, the iPhone 14 Pro became 170 euros more expensive here than its predecessor. With the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the price even increased by 220 euros.

Still, the Pro iPhones are not to be dragged. Although stocks are limited due to problems at the largest iPhone factory and delivery times are long, most people seem to opt for a Pro model, rather than the cheaper iPhone 14 (Plus). Certainly the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Plus is sold very little.

Another price hike

According to a rumor on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Apple will further increase the price of the iPhone 15 Pro models this year to widen the gap with the iPhone 15 Plus. This should make it more attractive to go for one of the more budget-friendly options. It is not clear what prices are involved.

Now the price difference between the iPhone 14 Plus (1166 euros) and iPhone 14 Pro (1326 euros) is relatively small. And while the Plus is a fairly boring update that hardly differs from the iPhone 13 (mini), the iPhone 14 Pro has received interesting innovations. Add 160 euros and you get the best of the best, with a Dynamic Island, newer processor, 48-megapixel camera, ProMotion screen and more.

Innovations

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are likely to be a lot more interesting. The source on Weibo reports that the devices will have features that are currently exclusive to the Pro models. This includes a Dynamic Island and the 48-megapixel camera. We’ve heard these rumors before from reliable Apple insiders, so there’s a good chance they’re correct.
