iPhone 14 Pro has the best smartphone display
The iPhone 14 Pro has already garnered superlatives and is now also winning. According to a study by DisplayMate, Apple’s new flagship offers the best smartphone screen on the market.

iPhone 14 Pro: best smartphone display
The iPhone 14 Pro Max earned the DisplayMate Best Smartphone Display award after the survey, with a performance rating of A+. With this, the showpiece follows the iPhone 13 Pro Max: last year’s winner.
In many ways, the iPhone 14 Pro’s display resembles that of its predecessor. The resolution has remained virtually the same, with a pixel density of 460 ppi. Still, Apple has made significant improvements.
What is new is that the OLED screen can refresh slowly: from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. With the 13 Pro, the refresh rate varied between 10 Hz and 120 Hz. The slower refresh enables a new feature: Always On. The screen of the iPhone 14 Pro always remains on, without using a lot of energy.
What Apple also improved is the peak brightness. With HDR content, the 14 Pro achieves a brightness of up to 1590 nits, according to the tests. This is a 33 percent improvement over the iPhone 13 Pro.

The iPhone 14 Pro set 15 records, compared to 13 with the iPhone 13 Pro. According to DisplayMate, it has a “world-class smartphone display with performance that is visually indistinguishable from perfect.”
