iPhone 13 out of stock, but probably out soon

Some versions of the iPhone 13 are difficult to buy. Sometimes you have to wait weeks, if not months before you receive the device. Fortunately, things seem to get better in the coming weeks and the iPhone 13 is back in stock.

iPhone 13 stock: just a little patience

As with many other manufacturers, Apple is also struggling with chip shortages. This was not unexpected for the company: Apple previously warned that it would face delivery restrictions on the iPhone and iPad. Some versions of the iPhone 13 are now very difficult or even no longer available.

Apple hoped to produce about 90 million iPhone 13 models by the last three months of 2021. The company had to adjust this plan. Production was cut back because Apple suppliers Broadcom and Texas Instruments couldn’t supply enough chips.

Fortunately, it looks like this is about to change. The gap between supply and demand seems to be narrowing slowly, partly thanks to improved production. Also, it seems that some of the parts needed to produce the new iPhones are back be more available.

Whether you can easily purchase an iPhone 13 during the holidays, remains to be seen for a while. The crisis is not over yet and the high demand for chips and parts will remain for a while.

The iPhone 13 in short

Like its predecessor, the iPhone 13 has an OLED screen, but the notch (the snack at the top of the screen) has become smaller. According to Apple, the notch has shrunk about 20 percent compared to the iPhone 12.

Under the hood, the iPhone 13 has a new A15 Bionic chip. This is faster than the previous chip (A14) and above all more energy efficient. This has increased the battery life by about 2.5 hours.
