iOS 16.2 and macOS 13.1: the 3rd public beta is available

Apple is releasing the third public beta of iOS 16.2 on iPhone and iPadOS 16.2 on iPad today. It arrives 24 hours after the version offered to developers.

Only one notable novelty is present with the third beta of iOS 16.2. There are now two buttons to turn off the wallpaper or notifications when the always-on display is active on iPhone 14 Pros. The options can be accessed by opening the Settings app, selecting Brightness and Display, then going to the Always-On Display section (the section has not yet been translated into French). Until now, it was only possible to activate or deactivate the permanently lit screen.

Disabling the wallpaper option removes your wallpaper if always-on display is enabled, and disabling notifications will only leave the time display and widgets on if you have widgets installed on your screen. lockdown.

If your device is set up to receive public betas, go to Settings > General > Software Update. You will be able to start the download and then install the third public beta of iOS 16.2. If you want to join the beta program, go to beta.apple.com, log in with your Apple account and let yourself be guided. As for the final version, it should normally be available in December for everyone.

On the Mac side, Apple offers the third public beta of macOS 13.1. It too comes 24 hours after the developer release.
