iOS 15 beta 6 undoes biggest Safari change
Of all the new features and design changes in iOS 15, Safari’s redesigned look has been the most controversial. In the iOS 15 beta 6, Apple added an option to roll back the biggest change.

Safari’s address bar moves back again
It won’t be long before Apple finally launches iOS 15, the new version of the iPhone operating system. Apple has been working on an extensive test phase for a while and you shouldn’t expect any major changes with the now sixth beta.
However, the criticism surrounding the Safari browser continued. In iOS 15, Apple has opted for a new design, with the address bar moved down. At first glance, that sounds logical. Your fingers are usually at the bottom of the screen, so it’s easier to control the address bar there too
However, the new address bar contains so many options that it is difficult to find frequently used functions. In addition, the buttons are partly so small that you can easily tap them next to them. And finally, it takes some getting used to that the probably most used app of iOS has undergone such a metamorphosis.
The new design has also been adjusted
After five betas of iOS 15 with only minor changes in Safari, beta 6 now comes with thunder. An option has been added in the settings to return the Safari address bar to its ‘classic’ position. To do this, go to ‘Settings > Safari’ and choose ‘One tab’ halfway down the page instead of ‘Tab bar’.
Just as interesting is that the new design was also taken care of. Where Apple previously hid all options in the tab bar, there is now the classic bar at the very bottom with the forward/back buttons, the share button, bookmarks and tabs. For many people this will also solve the biggest objections to the new design, even if it looks a bit strange from a design point of view.
