This is how you install iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1
Apple has released iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1. The update fixes an issue in the messaging app that prevented photos sent via iCloud link from being previewed. Also fixed an issue with CarPlay apps. The apps did not respond well for a number of users.
In addition, the update also contains several bug fixes and stability improvements. We therefore recommend that you install this new version of iOS 15 as soon as possible. Follow the steps below for this:
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad battery is at least 50 percent full, or hang it on the charger;
- Go to the Settings app and tap “General”;
- Choose ‘Software Update’ and follow the instructions on the screen.
Your iPhone will then download the new software. Do you not see the update yet, or is the download very slow? Which can. Just after Apple releases new software versions, a lot of people try to download the updates. This creates a digital queue.
New Features in iOS 15.2
One of the major new features in iOS 15.2 is the App Privacy Report. This allows you to see which apps have accessed your personal data in the past week. Think of your location, photos, microphone, camera and contacts. If you find that a certain app is requesting too much data, you can of course remove it if you want.
Another great feature is digital legacy. This allows you to designate friends or family members as inheritance contact. If you die, they will have access to your iPhone and can view photos, messages and notes, for example. This can be very practical, but it also has emotional value for the bereaved.
