Instagram is testing new option: ‘Favorite users’
Photo platform Instagram is testing a new feature that gives you more control over what you see in your timeline. New screenshots show the new ‘Favorite Users’ option. What can you do with it?
Favorite users on Instagram
Instagram is a platform where you can spend quite a few hours. For new travel tips, to see what your friends are up to and to find photos of others with a similar passion or hobby. In the beginning, the photos of those you followed were put in chronological order; but that hasn’t happened for years now. Instagram determines what you see first, based on your behavior; how to use the app.
Because of this, posts from your friends and family may disappear somewhere at the bottom and you may not even see them all the time. That may have to change soon, according to new clues that have been found.
An option to add favorite users should soon be visible in the settings of Instagram. It is already possible to use best friends in Instagram Stories, but this is about something else; this is really about what you see in the timeline. Posts from favorite users should rank higher with this feature.
It is currently unknown when Instagram will roll out the feature widely.
