Instagram improves pausing in Stories

There is a nice improvement for the stories in Instagram. Pausing a story in Instagram Stories is made a lot easier with a server-side update.

Have you wanted to pause a story in Instagram Stories until now? Then you had to hold down the screen with your finger. Then you could get started with, for example, reading a text, looking at details or for another reason to pause a story. Instagram has now made useful improvements to the stories in Instagram Stories.

The improvements relate to pausing a story in the Stories. From now on you no longer have to keep pressing the screen endlessly if you want to look at the screen longer, according to our tests. From now on you can hold the screen for a few seconds, after which you will see a pause icon. You can release your finger and the image will remain paused. A short tap on the screen is enough to continue the story.

It may be that this is a test among some of the users, or that you have to wait a little longer until the functionality is available to everyone.
