INSIQ, the world’s smallest Bluetooth speaker

Are you really fed up with heavy gadgets? You will probably fall in love with the INSIQ Bluetooth speaker.

INSIQ bluetooth speaker on your bunch of keys

With a size of 3 cm, you won’t have much trouble finding a place for the smallest Bluetooth speaker in the world. Thanks to the handy lanyard, you can hang it on your keys, put it in your handbag or put it in your pocket without any problems. With a weight of 60 grams, this is a light, small and compact speaker.

2 hours of sound, maximum volume 90 dB

But that doesn’t mean that this speaker can’t produce impressive sound. It is in fact capable of producing a volume of more than 90 dB, with which the sound, with an average distance of 10 m, can penetrate all corners of an average living room. This makes this speaker an ideal travel companion. It is also useful if you need sound for your presentation, with your portable beamer. Do you want to take a selfie? Then this speaker can also be used as a selfie button.

INSIQ sound quality fine, think about interference

The most important question is of course whether the quality of the sound is also good enough for an acceptable audio experience. Of course you cannot expect Bang and Olufsen quality of the sound with such a small speaker. But the sound isn’t bad at all. And comparable to that of much larger speakers. However, given the small dimensions of this speaker, you have to take interference effects into account. This means that the sound will bend around objects, which you can prevent by placing the speaker at least one meter away from objects.

Difficult to obtain in the Netherlands, but can be ordered in the US

Unfortunately, this speaker is only available by ordering it directly from the manufacturer. The retail price is € 16. But if you take advantage of the manufacturer’s special offer, you can buy these speakers for € 12 each. Unfortunately, the manufacturer only ships them to US addresses. Then you have to use a service like Opas.com to order these speakers. Given the hefty shipping and handling costs, it is smarter to immediately order 10 at a time.

Fortunately, there are comparable mini speakers available in the Netherlands, such as the EWA A106, which are about the same price and not bad either. Only then you don’t have the very, very smallest speaker in the world…
