Insert drawing mark with keyboard – cross × and period •

With a standard keyboard, the most important characters and letters can be displayed on the screen right away, but if you want to write mathematical formulas, you have to use hidden key codes. If you want to do your homework quickly on the PC, you can find out here how to write the mark with the keyboard.

There are different versions of the mark. We therefore present you with various ways of bringing the mathematical symbol for multiplication onto the screen.

First of all: For the calculation itself, this is used in many programs asterisk used as a substitute for the typical drawing symbols – for example in Excel. You simply write the asterisk with the key combination Shift ⇑ ++

Unfortunately, there is no short key combination for the paint symbols under Windows. However, if your keyboard or laptop has a number pad, there is still a way to insert the math operators with a short string of characters. Alternatively, you can of course copy the dot (•) and the cross (×) directly from this website or set them using the special character keyboard.

Mark: difference between point and cross
