Samsung Galaxy M13 revealed with 5G modem

When Samsung introduced the Galaxy M13, there was only talk of a 4G model. It is a successor to the Galaxy M12, which has gained notoriety through a very low price in various discount campaigns. The cell phone has good features and offers a long battery life. Samsung remains true to this recipe and is now planning a 5G model of the Galaxy M13. There are two key improvements here:

  • 5G modem
  • New MediaTek processor

Why is the processor so relevant? Very easily: It’s up to 70 percent faster than Samsung’s Exynos chip in the 4G model. Although the model name of the Galaxy M13 only has a 5G appended, it is basically a completely different cell phone with significantly more power (source: MySmartPrice).

Otherwise it remains with the known data with the large 5,000 mAh battery, the 6.5-inch display and a 50 MP camera, which is supposed to provide usable photos. There are said to be versions with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Android 12 should be pre-installed as the operating system.

How much does the new Samsung Galaxy M13 5G cost?

Samsung sells this Galaxy M13 with 4G modem for 189 euros (look at Samsung). The price is so high because the smartphone has only just come onto the market. For comparison: the Galaxy M12 was last available for just over 100 euros. The 5G version should of course be a bit more expensive. Samsung is probably approaching 250 euros. But that doesn’t matter much, because the prices will fall, just like the predecessors, and then the smartphones will become real value for money.
