The popular Earthworm Jim series is set to feature new games in the future, which will arrive exclusively on the Intellivision Amico retro console and are being developed by some of the original developers. Nevertheless, it is still very embarrassing. If you watch and read Vortex regularly, this is nothing new for you. But now we have learned that the brand will also see the new Earthworm series Jim: Beyond the Groovy. And I’m deliberately saying new, because this isn’t Jim’s first TV trip. Already in the mid-1990s, a twenty-three-part series was created, but not until later. Now let’s look to the future.
The company Interplay, which still owns the rights to this brand, has teamed up with the Agency for the Performing Arts and another crazy science fiction expedition awaits us, which will obviously be full of humor. The authors attract us to eccentric villains, new faces and an absurd and hostile galaxy. To this end, Interplay has established a new film and television division, led by screenwriter and producer Michel K Parandi. At the same time, he believes that this universe has enormous potential.
The series already has an official website running, and most importantly, you can watch the first trailer in the form of an exclusive interview with Jim, who promises not only a fairly nice stylization, but above all a lot of kind humor. I don’t know if it suits your taste, but I really like that kind of fun. It is not yet clear where the news will be broadcast.
The first series adaptation premiered in 1995, a year after the first game in the series. It ran for two seasons and the voice was given to the main character by Dan Castellaneta, who became famous for the roles of Homer Simpson and other characters from this series.
