Ikea product reduces water consumption by up to 95 percent

The Germans have to economize: inflation is tearing large holes in the wallets of the citizens, and people are now tightening their belts everywhere. Ikea is now helping with this: The Swedish furniture giant has presented a product that is said to reduce water consumption by up to 95 percent. And best of all: At 4.99 euros, it’s a real bargain.

Inflation recently rose to 7.9 percent and there is no end in sight to the wave of inflation. Many consumers are already looking forward to the winter with fear, when the next price increases for electricity and gas are expected. This creates pressure to save elsewhere: “Where can I still save?”, Many Germans are currently asking themselves. One answer: in terms of water consumption. And that’s exactly why Ikea has now presented the right product with “Åbäcken”.

Behind the Ikea-typical name hides a Atomizer nozzle for faucets that promises water savings of up to 95 percent (Source: press portal). The nozzle should open all Ikea mixer taps fit as well as “most standard mixer taps on the market”, according to Ikea. Åbäcken was developed in cooperation with the start-up Altered Company.

When it comes to savings potential, Ikea is no slouch. Compared to standard mixer taps, which have a water flow of 5.7 liters per minute, the atomizing nozzle in mist mode is said to be able to save up to 95 percent water. Still up to 66 percent in spray mode.

In this way, Åbäcken should also indirectly help to reduce the energy costs for the preparation of hot water. The atomizer nozzle is now available from Ikea at a price of 4.99 euros (see at Ikea).

Make money with Ikea furniture? This works out:

Ikea adjusts the prices four times a year

Not only consumers have to struggle with the price shock, but also Ikea itself. Stable prices that are valid over a longer period of time are a thing of the past. The furniture retailer has given itself a new rotation for price adjustments and now wants to adjust prices up to four times a year. Previously there was only one price adjustment per year.
