‘I was called by the school if I could pick up my daughter immediately’

When the school calls, eighty scenarios flash through your mind, none of them good. Fortunately, disaster is not always the case. Like with Mayke (30), mother of Ties (7) and Suze (5).
“An hour before school was due to end, I was called if I could pick up my daughter immediately: Suze was not feeling well at all. I had just sat on the couch with a cup of tea and hurried to school. Could she have corona?
Excellent drama
Once in the car I saw nothing strange about Suze. I also didn’t get an answer as to what exactly she had. But when we drove past a playground, she wanted me to stop. To my ‘but you’re sick’, the little rascal replied: ‘No, mom, I just made that up, I just didn’t feel like it anymore.’”
