For me, it works to outsource parties to a special birthday service that takes care of everything: from the invitations (you just have to have your child scratch their own name), the location and the cake or chips to the activities. The only thing you as a parent take care of is the logistics: pick up and drop off.

If desired – and I wish that, because I still have three kids at home – I don’t even have to be there myself. Unfortunately? pathetic? Oh well, I get enough with the party app that the company creates. I’m still a bit there, without having to recover in the evening with a lot of wine.”
