The upgrade of the system superstructure was promised for the Nova 5T model during the first quarter of 2021. The company adhered to its schedule and the owners of this model can look forward to the new EMUI 11 superstructure. The update comes under the designation EMUI 11.0.0.138 Android 10.
Huawei launched the Nova 5T model in August 2019. The device was delivered with the EMUI 9.1 superstructure and the Android 9 Pie. Thanks to the manufacturer’s support, the smartphone received the first major update to EMUI 10 in 2020. This is currently its second major update.
EMUI 11 is probably the latest version for Huawei smartphones as the company plans to move to HarmonyOS. According to the gizmochina.com portal, the first device that should receive the new operating system is the Huawei Mate X2. It is questionable whether it will also happen to older smartphones, but let us be surprised.
How’s competition with updates?
Recently, the most talked about is the big updates on Android 11 and security patches are going slightly in the background. Samsung’s smartphones, such as the Galaxy A51 and Xcover Pro and Galaxy Fold, have seen a new version of Android.
LG also takes care of its smartphones with updates, which recently launched an update for the LG Wing. Xiaomi is also updating its smartphones to the latest Android and only recently received updates for the Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Redmi Note 9S. Nokia is also making an example and is currently receiving an update of the Nokia 8.3 model in Slovakia. Currently, Android 11 also received a OnePlus Nord smartphone.
