If we looked at the tables of the best-selling phones of 2020, we would of course also find several representatives of the Korean brand Samsung in the top positions. One of them then regularly appears higher than the others. It’s a model Galaxy A51 5G, which attracts customers with its lower price, decent equipment and, last but not least, support for the most modern mobile networks. As with other phones, a common question applies to him: How can he take pictures? The popular DxOMark server, whose editors have undergone the Samsung Galaxy A51 traditional camera test, has now responded.

With regard to competitors in the market and also colleagues in the Galaxy world, this is a medium-equipped phone, which also corresponds to the placement in the DxOMark rankings. The total gain of 87 points was enough for the current 97th place. Since it probably won’t tell anyone anything extra, phones will help for comparison. For example, Sony Xperia 1 or Motorola One Zoom have the same number of points. The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G or iPhone 7 Plus, which is one order higher, has one more point, and Nokia 8.3 5G, one less.

According to DxOMark editors, the test of the Galaxy A51 5G cameras showed, for example, the traditional positive of Samsung sensors in the form of a wide-angle lens. Praise they also deserve white balance in the video, precise exposure or a wide dynamic range. For negative high noise and poor detail in several modes, autofocus issues with video, or out-of-tune white balance in photos were flagged.
