How to solve a MacBook battery problem

An empty battery on your MacBook, the Apple laptop is struggling with a battery problem. There is now a solution for that.

Several MacBook owners with macOS 12.2 have reported experiencing battery issues. The battery would instinctively run out quickly, without the user asking much of the computer. In short, there seems to be a ghost in the software that is after the battery. Apple is aware of the MacBook battery problem and has released a fix.

That fix comes with version 12.2.1. The update has now been made available by the American tech giant. The MacBook battery problem was related to laptops with the Intel chips. Apple’s M1 chip was not affected. The issue was linked to Bluetooth continuing to connect while the laptop was in sleep mode.

It happened that the battery on several MacBooks was completely empty the next morning. While the battery still had a few tens of percent charge that evening. Normally you should be able to continue where you left off the next day.

In short, updating to macOS 12.2.1 is the motto. This should solve the problem. The software update is now available.
