How long do you spend with your iPhone? (Poll)

Are you already waiting for the iPhone 14, or do you think it’s fine to walk around with an older copy? We are curious about how long people spend with their iPhone, so take part in our poll.

Read on after the ad.

Poll: How long do you spend with your iPhone?

A big advantage of iPhones is the duration of use. Unlike Android devices, with an Apple smartphone you can count on software updates for about five years. The other parts, such as hardware and battery life, also stand the test of time (in general) very well.

In principle, you can do with your iPhone for years. The big question is: do people do this too? After all, it’s just fun to buy a new iPhone – if you can afford it – when you don’t actually need a fresh device.

The editors of iPhoned therefore wonders: how many years do you (approximately) do with your iPhone? You can vote in the poll below.

How old is your iPhone?

Not sure exactly how old your iPhone is? Fortunately, finding that out is quite simple. In the Settings app, go to ‘General’ and then ‘About’. Here you can see the serial number of your iPhone. Copy and paste the code on Apple’s website.

You will then see when your iPhone’s warranty expires. That date is important, because you get a two-year warranty as standard. By counting back, you can find out exactly how old your device is.

Is your iPhone older than two years? Then the Chipmunk website offers a solution. This Dutch website looks a bit outdated, but works perfectly. You just need to enter the serial number of your device on Chipmunk. Then you get to see exactly how many years your iPhone has already lasted.
