Horizontal stripes on your iPhone 14? You are not alone!

In recent days, we have heard reports from various sources about iPhone 14 models with ugly horizontal stripes on the screen. Do you also suffer from it? This is what’s going on.

Read on after the ad.

Horizontal stripes iPhone 14

The horizontal stripes on the iPhone 14 do not occur during normal use, but mainly when the screen is taken out of standby. Also, the problem occurs when the iPhone is turned on.

Apparently, the error mainly occurs on the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Due to the image defect, yellow or green stripes appear on the screen. The number and position of the stripes differs. When the iPhone is used, the lines disappear after a few seconds. This indicates that it is not a hardware issue but a software bug.

This is also consistent with information from Apple, as when asked by concerned users, Apple support has stated that this is not a hardware defect, but a bug in iOS 16.

A solution is being worked on

Apple has assured at least one Reddit user over the phone that the company is already working on a fix for this issue, but so far there are no details on when Apple will release an update that will fix this bug.

Until then, there are some workarounds that unfortunately only seem to work on some iPhones. The first thing you can try on an iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max is turning off the always-on display. If that doesn’t help, resetting your iPhone to factory settings is another option.

But if you have a sincere advice from iPhoned want: just wait for iOS 16.2.1, this version will undoubtedly solve the problem. And keep an eye on our site, because you will of course be the first to read it here. Or subscribe to our newsletter and you will automatically receive it in your inbox.
