Honda cars will carry Google’s Android Automotive from 2022
Do you remember Google’s Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS)? Google launched this OS in 2015 to allow drivers, via the Android Auto application, to connect their smartphone to their vehicle’s stereo system to be able to listen to music from the device, read detailed instructions from Google Maps at out loud or answer calls via the sound system.
In recent years, Android Auto and infotainment systems have come a long way. In fact, Google recently announced that several features and options will soon be deployed for drivers using Android Auto, whether it is the application on their phone or the in-car system directly in their car.

Google has automated the login process
Previously, you had to follow several steps to connect the phone to the infotainment or stereo system. The radio’s Bluetooth needed to detect the phone, then the car would recognize and pair with the device.
Subsequently, it was necessary to execute several voice commands for Android Auto to finally become operational. But now Google has automated this whole process. It would just be enough to say ” Hey Google, let’s drive So that the connection sharing process is done automatically.
But that’s not all. Google has also changed the user interface to allow access to multiple content sources like Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Audible, Podcast Addict, iHeartRadio, etc. The driver will also be able to read incoming text messages aloud and also respond to them by voice.
Two Honda vehicle models already confirmed to carry the AAOS
Based on information fromEngadget, these new features could land in the coming weeks in English-speaking countries but also in France, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Spain.
