Need help with homework? Want to clarify a definition or a concept? Ask Jules your questions … By combining artificial intelligence and an evolving knowledge base, the conversational agent Jules answers students’ questions, from 6th to 3rd, and helps them with their homework.

As part of the Devoirs Faits measure, the Ministry of National Education and Youth asked the CNED to create a digital service to help middle school students with their homework. To respond to this request, the CNED has developed a conversational agent, Jules, which complements and supports practices within establishments.

Jules will accompany you:
– by answering all your questions: definition in mathematics, precision on a notion of French, …
– by helping you build mathematical figures, understand essential knowledge, etc.
– by offering you good advice thanks to the methodological sheets.

Goals :
– Provide students with an innovative digital tool to help them with their homework. Make this moment more fun, create motivation.
– Foster student autonomy and the development of research skills: knowing how to ask the right questions to obtain relevant answers, knowing how to reformulate, identify precisely the obstacles to understanding.
– Increase the “added value” of Homework Done sessions and provide the best support to the students regardless of the supervisor of the session (civic service, education assistant, etc.).

Jules is:
– A homework help tool for students: it provides concise answers to simple questions relating to college knowledge and skills in order to overcome difficulties in understanding.
– A knowledge base covering the different levels and subjects of the college (French and mathematics for the moment).
– A service capable of offering personalized content allowing college students to circulate in fundamental concepts through a network of related knowledge. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the more students ask Jules, the more he brings them relevant content.
