Every child asks questions. Lots of questions and silly questions. About why the sky is blue, where babies come from and at some point also about things in the bedroom. Either way. Sex talk. TikTok mom Britt Ostofe got a question about ’69’ and found there’s no easy way to explain it.

While it’s never too early to talk about sex with your kids, the conversation between mom Britt and her daughter is hilarious proof that no one prepares you enough for what’s to come after giving birth.

Pretty good idea

“Today my nine-year-old daughter came home from school and asked me if I knew what 69 was. The f*ck?’ begins Britt. After reminding her child that 69 is the number before 70, her daughter challenges her to learn more. The nine-year-old already had a pretty good idea of what 69 was: “I’ve heard it’s when a boy and a girl are together and they’re trying to have a baby,” she explains.

Britt realizes she is getting this information from her or someone else. So she decides to give a safe explanation and make a comparison with cooking: ‘When you cook a meal there is the preparation and the real cooking. For example, during the preparation you chop the vegetables, the real cooking is when you prepare the main meal.’

Dad doesn’t cook

Her daughter’s answer? “I don’t cook.” To which Britt says to her daughter: ‘Only adults are allowed to make food in the kitchen. And you’ll get there when you grow up, okay? Now you’re a kid and kids don’t make dinner, so don’t worry about this just yet.” To which her daughter points out that Daddy doesn’t cook: “Does this mean Daddy doesn’t help make babies?” Perhaps not the best comparison.

In the end, mother Britt gives up and says, ‘Cooking isn’t for you. Find a new hobby.’
