Hank Azaria to play Tim Cook in Uber series
Super Pumped, a series that deals with the rise of Uber, welcomes Hank Azaria who will play Tim Cook. What relationship between the boss of Apple and Uber? The series, although it will focus on Uber, will be set in Silicon Valley and one can imagine that other tech companies will appear one way or another.
The choice of Hank Azaria to play Tim Cook on screen may come as a surprise. We cannot say that the resemblance is striking. But it has to be seen if the makeup, eyeglasses, and a different hairstyle could make it look like you are seeing Apple’s boss.
Hank Azaria has appeared in several films, including The Smurfs, The Smurfs 2, Godzilla and Night at the museum 2. The public knows him especially for being the voice of several characters in The Simpsons, including Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, as well as a few less important characters. Of course, you won’t know it if you don’t watch The Simpsons in original version.
Super Pumped is a series that airs not on Apple TV +, but on Showtime. The first season is based on the eponymous book by Mike Isaac. Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Travis Kalanick (founder of Uber) and Kyle Chandler will play Bill Gurley (mentor to Travis Kalanick).
