Guest gets $15,000 worth of stuff from Sonos, but has to dock

Sonos really messed up an order, delivering $15,000 worth of audio equipment over 30 deliveries. And this is not the only example.

There is currently a crazy bug in the Sonos ordering system. A customer of the sound expert opened the cesspool after he received a hefty order delivered to his home… Six times in a row! The worst part was that he actually also had to pay the total amount of more than €14,000. In the meantime, Sonos is happily working on a solution

He turns out to be not the only one who receives an absurd load of packages from the company. A Reddit thread shows that many more customers continued to receive packages, The Verge reports.

The guy in question simply ordered a turntable, an Arc soundbar, an Arc mount, a Sonos One speaker and a Roam speaker. He got the order six times in an absurd amount of 30 deliveries.

We would not have liked to have been his neighbor during this period, as they have undoubtedly had to accept a package regularly. The ‘victim’ tells The Verge that he is also in serious trouble with his landlord. Because the goddamn amount of packages don’t fit in his apartment, he’s left a lot of them in the lobby of his building. Of course no one is waiting for that.

Meanwhile, Sonos is aware of the order bug and is working on a fix. As it should be, customers are also neatly sent shipping labels to return the packages free of charge. Fortunately, the bill for all the extra stuff does not have to be paid.
