Apple will hold three more events in 2021, iPhone 13 event in September

Apple is rumored to hold three more events in 2021. The iPhone 13 event will kick off in September, followed by two presentations focusing on the iPad and Mac.

Gurman: ‘iPhone 13 event in September’

That writes the usually reliable journalist Mark Gurman in its weekly newsletter. As expected, the biggest keynote of the year will take place in September. At the event in September, Apple will be showcasing the following products, according to Gurman:

Star of the evening: iPhone 13

The evening is of course mainly about the successor to the iPhone 12. We expect that the iPhone of 2021 will come in four flavors, just like its predecessor. The entry-level model is the iPhone 13 (with a 6.1-inch screen), which would include a slightly better camera and hardware. The iPhone 13 mini is almost identical, but has a smaller 5.4 inch screen.

If you’re looking for the best of the best, the iPhone 13 Pro is the place to be. Rumor has it that the successor to the iPhone 12 Pro will have a smooth screen with 120Hz refresh rate, a much improved camera and new color options. The largest iPhone of 2021 is the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which, apart from the 6.7-inch screen, is identical to the ‘regular’ 13 Pro.

New wearables

Gurman also predicts that Apple will announce two new wearables during the ‘iPhone 13 event’ in September. The Apple Watch Series 7 is a direct successor to the Apple Watch 6. The new watch is rumored to have a new, more industrial design and some new health functions.

The third generation of the wildly popular AirPods earbuds seem to crawl against the AirPods Pro in terms of design. We expect the AirPods 3 to get shorter stems and come in an improved charging case.

Apple in 2021: three events in total

After the big iPhone 13 event in September, Apple will hold two more presentations, Gurman said. He doesn’t have specific dates or months, but the iPads would be the first to turn. According to Gurman, Apple is in any case announcing a new, compact iPad this year: the iPad mini (2021).

Apple closes the year with an event entirely devoted to the MacBook Pro (2021). Gurman thinks this presentation will take place in mid-November and will focus on the switch to Apple Silicon. The current MacBook Pro with 16-inch screen was renewed in 2019 and still has an old Intel processor. The current 13-inch MacBook Pro already has Apple Silicon hardware.
