Google will retire on April 8, 2024
Nest Secure will no longer be usable in a year. Google pulls the plug on the alarm system, which has not been for sale since 2020. Google hopes people will switch to the newer system it introduced with its partner ADT. People with Nest Secure have been notified of the end of support. They have until April 8, 2024 to find a new solution to have the house sound the alarm automatically.
Google writes: “In 2020, we announced a long-term strategic partnership between Google and ADT, a leading US provider of security and home automation. With this partnership, we wanted to develop even better solutions for greater customer peace of mind and choice, including the ability for users to add new types of sensors and professional surveillance.” Knowing more?
