Google shows Pixel 6 with its own Tensor chipset, we know this
Google has leaked the Pixel 6 in a big way. The company is already revealing the first information about its own-made Tensor chipset. We also see extensive renders and all color variants and Google finally leaks more information about the periscope camera.
This article will be further supplemented…
Google Pixel 6
Google has lifted a corner of the veil on the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro. Feel free to call it a big ‘tip’. The device can be seen in different viewing angles in a wire on Twitter which consists of 13 tweets in total.
Based on the images from Google, we immediately notice that the renders completely match what we saw in leaks before. Both phones will come in three different colors. The Pro version comes in a dark gray, a light gray and yellow variant. For the regular Pixel 6, it is a pink color, a dark gray shade and a light gray shade with a notable yellow strip on the top.
Periscope camera
The Pixel 6 and the Pro version get a horizontal camera arrangement that spans the entire width of the rear. The regular Pixel 6 takes over the camera lenses of the Pro variant with the exception of the telephoto camera. Google doesn’t call it a periscope camera, but does say the camera supports 4x optical zoom. It was previously leaked that Google is introducing a special periscope camera this time, and if we look purely at the images, it also seems to be such a camera that reflects the light over both the length and width with a prism.
So the Pixel 6 Pro has a total of three cameras while the regular Pixel 6 has two. It is almost certainly a main camera and wide-angle camera. That was also apparent from previous rumours.
Tensor chipset
In addition, Google is unveiling its proprietary Tensor chipset that will power the Pixel 6. Google says it was made specifically for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. We don’t get to see any real specifications, but Google does say that the phone will get special functions for the camera and speech recognition that are only possible thanks to Tensor. The emphasis is on artificial intelligence (AI) and in particular machine learning.
Google already reveals that speech recognition plays an important role in the new top devices. In particular, the company announces progress in the areas of voice commands, translation, subtitling and dictation. That Google would use a modified chipset for its upcoming devices was also leaked earlier.

Material You and security
Google presented its new Material You design for Android at Google I/O 2021. The color of the background that you use on your phone merges seamlessly with the rest of the interface. Google claims that everything will look even better on the Pixel 6 range.
Finally, Google shares more information about the security of the Pixel 6 devices, but this time the company mainly leaves us in the dark. Google says the Pixel 6 series brings the most layers of hardware security you’ll find in a phone. What it means by that is not clear, but Google is probably referring to a separate security chip such as the Titan M that it has been using in its phones for several years.

Such a chip, also called Secure Element, is currently being standardized so that several Android manufacturers can build extra security in their phones. In this way, a phone can be used as a digital passport or a digital car key in the future. We may get more information later about what Google specifically plans with the Pixel 6. Earlier we already learned that the phones may receive updates for five years.
