Google shows first smartwatch: Pixel Watch presented
The first smartwatch from Google has been officially presented. It’s the Pixel Watch and we can now finally share all the information with you about the new model. Reports have been circulating about the model for a long time.

For months it has been about the new smartwatch from Google; the Pixel Watch. The new smart watch has been in the news for years, but today we really get to know the model. The Pixel Watch was officially shown by the company during Google I/O in May, with it becoming clear that the announcement would be later. So this happened today during the Made by Google event.
We see a fairly minimalist design with the Google Pixel Watch. Just a round screen, with a wheel on the side. However, it is noticeable that the screen edges are relatively thick. The necessary sensors are placed at the back, so that you can measure numerous health aspects. Fitbit is now owned by Google, so several Fitbit features will be present in the Pixel Watch. You get access to Fitbit Premium for 6 months. You can view your various activities in the Fitbit app, which includes, for example, consulting your sleep. Google promises that the heart rate monitor is the most accurate of all Fitbit devices.
Furthermore, the watch offers all the possibilities that you can expect from a smart smartwatch. This means controlling your Google products from your watch and of course you can navigate and set photos from Google Photos as wallpaper. Because the watch runs on Google’s Wear OS, you can download additional apps from the Google Play Store. According to Google, the battery of the Pixel Watch should last 24 hours.
The Google watch is equipped with an AMOLED screen with a diameter of 41 millimeters. There is a 294 mAh battery and an Exynos 9110 chipset from Samsung. The Pixel Watch will be equipped with Wear OS 3.5 and will also be available as a 4G version.
Google gives you a myriad of options when it comes to style. You can choose from different types of tires; woven or silicone. Of course you have to pull out your wallet for this. You can choose from four colors as standard. The Pixel Watch will be available next week, with a price of 379 euros, or 429 euros as an LTE version. It seems that this smartwatch will not come to the Netherlands, but can be obtained in Germany.
