Google rolls out new Android TV interface: this is what it looks like

Google has started tweaking the new Android TV interface. It is striking that we see similarities with that of the Google TV interface.

New interface for Android TV

For Android TV there are a number of changes ready for the interface of the service. Google is starting to distribute an update for Android TV, with the new design being implemented. At the top of the screen you will find three new tabs; Home, Discover and Apps. The Home tab remains the same, as you are used to. You have access to your favorite apps and channels. The ‘Apps’ tab has space for all installed apps.

The new tab is called Discover, translated Discover. Here you can go for personal recommendations based on what you find interesting and what you watch. It also shows what’s popular on Google right now. You get movie, show and live TV recommendations.

The rollout for the new Android TV interface starts now in Germany, France, the United States, Australia and Canada. More countries will be next in the coming weeks, Google says.
