Google Play Store starts showing ads in search results

Advertising is a source of income for many companies. Likewise for Google. Screenshots are now popping up from the Google Play Store, in which we see advertising in the search results. What can we expect?

Advertising in Google Play Store

We already know it from Apple; advertising in the App Store. According to the latest reports, it seems that Google wants to take the same steps and show advertising in the Google Play Store. This is evidenced by screenshots that have now appeared, which show that Google is showing ads in the search results in the Google Play Store app. This advertisement is visible in a new version of the application, but this is not the case for every user. It appears to be a test.

In the search results, advertisements are shown for various games. It would concern games that have not been searched for before. The games in question are Summoners War, Call of Duty, and Fishdom Solitaire. It is quite possible that this is a new feature of the November Google Play system update, which talks about a feature that makes it easier to discover games and apps that you may find interesting. This would also mean that the suggestions in the search overview can always differ.

It seems only a matter of time before this ad is rolled out to everyone.
