Google Photos is now much better at moving images
It’s been a few months since Google added the amazing Cinematic photos feature to its Photos mobile app, which is capable of taking ordinary still images with people transform into “live” animations with moving elements in several layers. About a year has passed since the first launch and the authors report one very interesting news. The function is now capable thanks to machine learning and artificial intelligence calculate and “finish” missing parts of the background.
Thanks to this enhancement, the tool is able to create cleaner, smoother and of course more believable animations. In the attached moving example, you can see, for example, how the software handles the addition of a metal frame, flowers, petals or a sidewalk in the background of a person photographed in the garden.
Google announced this feature a few days ago, along with other news for Photos. These include, for example, the ability to select specific friends, family members or pets in a new form of memory widget. This allows you to filter photos that target the user’s desktop through the widget.
